What is granite grip decorative flat interior/exterior concrete floor coating?
Granite grip is a decorative concrete floor coating that can be used on both interior and exterior surfaces. It comes in a variety of colors, and can be applied to new or existing concrete surfaces.
Granite grip creates a textured, slip-resistant surface that is durable and easy to maintain. It is also resistant to staining and fading, making it a great option for high-traffic areas.
How do I apply granite grip?
Granite grip can be applied with a brush, roller, or sprayer. It is recommended that you use a primer before applying the coating, and a clear sealant should be applied after the coating has dried.
The drying time varies depending on the weather conditions, but it will dry to the touch within an hour and be fully cured in 24 hours.
What thickness of granite grip should I apply?
Granite grip comes in a variety of thicknesses: 1/32″, 3/16″, 1/8″, and 3/8″. Generally, the thicker your coating is, the more slip-resistant it will be. Applying multiple thin layers instead of one thick coat allows you to achieve the desired amount of slip resistance without sacrificing durability.
You can also mix different thicknesses together to achieve a unique texture that matches your taste and needs. Feel free to contact us with any questions! We’ll be happy to help you determine what thickness works best for your application.
What are the benefits of using granite grip?
Granite grip has a variety of benefits that can improve your work experience. First, granite grip is non-slip, meaning it will keep your tools in place and prevent them from sliding off the countertop.
This is especially important when you are using sharp tools, as they can easily cause injuries if they slip out of your hands. Second, granite grip is heat resistant and will not melt under intense heat.
This makes it a great choice for cooking surfaces, as you can safely place hot pots and pans on top without worrying about them melting the surface.
Finally, granite grip is easy to clean and does not require any special care or maintenance. Simply wipe it down with a damp cloth to remove any dirt or debris.
What is the best way to clean granite grip?
The best way to clean a granite grip is to use a damp cloth and some soap. Be sure to avoid getting the overgrip wet, as it will lose its stickiness and become ineffective.
If your grip gets dirty or dusty, you can also use a vacuum cleaner to remove the excess particles. Just be careful not to damage the grip by sucking up too much moisture!
When can I walk on my new floors after application?
Do not walk on your floors for approximately 24 hours after application. Please make sure you protect the area at all times during this time with heavy moving pads or something similar, and keep children away.
Do you have any tips for applying granite grip correctly?
This depends on the manufacturer. Some have a line engraved in their grips, others don’t. You can also create your own groove with your fingernail for reference.
Just look at the groove you’ve created every now and then to make sure it doesn’t become too wide over time, this will ensure that you are not applying too much pressure because if you do, there is a chance that the grip will be ripped off because of the pressure instead of adhesive strength.
If there’s no groove then all I can suggest is that you apply about an equal amount of force throughout the length of the grip as if you were trying to rip it in half.
Pinching both ends and using about two inches for leverage, try applying pressure to the grip. You should see the adhesive start to stretch and eventually give way.
Again, it depends on the manufacturer, but usually there is a tab or some other feature that will make it easier to remove the grip. If not, use a fingernail or sharp object to pry it off starting from a corner. Be careful not to damage the grip or your bike.
